WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES NEEDED?
We are needed whenever there is blood and/or body fluids present. These are usually the result of a traumatic incident or unattended death. In some cases, these can be accompanied with what is referred to in the industry as “dead man odor.”
Whether or not an odor is present, blood and/or body secretions can carry blood borne or airborne diseases such as hepatitis, AIDS, tuberculosis, etc.
HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?
The cost of our services varies greatly depending on the type of job and scope of work. Each job is given a free on-site estimate.
ARE YOU LICENSED?
All Cendecon technicians are certified and we are licensed with the State of California. Cendecon holds Trauma Scene Waste Practitioner License #298. We are also fully insured.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU OPERATE IN?
Currently, we are based in Kern County, but service many areas of California. We do not charge a travel expense for any jobs outside of our native County.
We do not service any areas outside of California, but we can refer many reputable companies throughout the US.
WHY CAN’T I CLEAN UP BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS MYSELF?
Whether or not the death of a loved one is traumatic, it is usually met with a great deal of stress and emotion. Nobody should have to add cleaning up the remains of a family member onto the long list of arrangements one is confronted with after a death.
But, despite the emotional aspects connected with cleaning up after the death of someone close, there are many legal requirements when dealing with and disposing of bio-hazardous material, such as blood and/or body fluids. Illegal disposal of such items is punishable by severe fines from the California Department of Health.
On top of all that, you have the obvious potential exposure to blood- or airborne pathogens. It requires special equipment and chemicals, exact procedure and training and certification to ensure that a crime or trauma scene poses no health risks to current and future occupants.
WHEN ARE YOU AVAILABLE?
Once the scene has been released by the local Coroner’s office and police department, we can begin decontamination. Our technicians are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
